Golf with HSBC

HSBC have created specialized web sites to promote their affiliations
with different sports, including golf, hockey, and triathlons.
The sites include a contest component, and are updated each
year. The design is by Shervin
Communications in Burnaby, BC, and the contest and overall
marketing is handled by Fantail
Communications Inc. in Toronto.

Training Innovations

Training Innovations had a tremendous amount of information
to present on their web site, and I was involved in writing
the first phase of their site’s attractive redesign, which was
done by Shervin Communications.

Coast Hotels postcard

This project was for a post card mailer to Coast Hotel customers.
Sounds simple enough, but the challenge was to be concise, clear,
and present the desired tone.

Prima TV trade magazine ad

This ad was for a trade magazine. The main objective was to
introduce Prima TV’s to retailers who may have not heard of
them before, and to initiate branding in the Canadian market.
At the same time, it was introducing their latest models.

HSBC Franchise Ad

This one-page ad was for a franchising trade show. I came up
with the title for them and wrote the content. After it was
written, Shervin Communications added the cute picture and completed
the layout.

YLW
Connection

I was contracted to write 3 articles for the inaugural edition
of the YLW Connection magazine for the Kelowna International
Airport. I was assigned specific topics, and used a micro-cassette
recorder to interview key personnel in order to get the information
I needed to write the articles. I learned a lot about the airport
in the process!
